{"id":392,"date":"2020-08-12T21:11:22","date_gmt":"2020-08-12T21:11:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cookbook.deamaree.com\/?p=392"},"modified":"2021-07-14T09:25:37","modified_gmt":"2021-07-14T14:25:37","slug":"cornbread","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cookbook.deamaree.com\/?p=392","title":{"rendered":"Cornbread"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>4 Tbsp butter, melted<\/li><li>1 cup milk<\/li><li>1 large egg<\/li><li>1 1\/4 cups yellow cornmeal*<\/li><li>1 cup all-purpose flour<\/li><li>1\/2 cup granulated sugar<\/li><li>1 Tbsp baking powder<\/li><li>1\/2 teaspoon salt<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Directions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.<\/li><li>Grease bottom and sides of an 8-inch square baking pan.<\/li><li>In a large bowl, beat the melted butter, milk, and egg with a fork or wire whisk until well mixed.<\/li><li>In separate bowl, mix cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.<\/li><li>Add dry mixture to liquid mixture all at once; stir just until the flour is moistened (batter will be lumpy).<\/li><li>Pour batter into prepared pan, scraping batter from bowl.
